THE SHOW PRODUCERS: The Smithsonian Women’s Committee

Each spring for more than 40 years the Smithsonian Women’s Committee (SWC) has brought the Smithsonian Craft Show to Washington. Through the passion and talents of energetic and dedicated women, the SWC advances American craft artistry in support of an important cause:

To raise needed funds for the research, education, exhibition and conservation programs of the Smithsonian Institution’s 21 museums, 9 research centers, 21 libraries and the National Zoo.

Income from the show funds grants to valuable Smithsonian programs and projects that otherwise would not take place. By attending the show you not only experience the best in American craft, you’re helping to make this important work possible.
