The Smithsonian Craft Show is a juried exhibition and sale featuring the finest in contemporary craft and design, held annually in Washington DC. The theme for the 2027 show, Artful Design, highlights the many pathways of craft from functionality into artistry, creative technique and design.
The Smithsonian Craft Show is a fund-raising event for the Smithsonian Institution, produced by the Smithsonian Women's Committee. Proceeds from the show fund grants that benefit the Smithsonian's education, outreach, conservation, and research programs. Since its inception, SWC has awarded more than $15 million in grants to Smithsonian organizations throughout the world.
Three expert jurors, newly selected each year, choose 120 artists from a large pool of applicants. The jurors for the 2027 craft show are:

Bruce Helander, accomplished, award-winning artist, writer, critic, curator and educator, based in West Palm Beach, FL

Beth McLaughlin, Artistic Director and Chief Curator at the Fuller Craft Museum in Stockton, MA
General Admission
$25. per person for admission on any day between April 23 - 26.
$20. per person for groups of 10 or more, students, and active military.
$40. per person for multi-day admission.
Children 12 and under, free.
Preview Night Benefit Events, April 22
$300. per person for Preview Night Benefit Party, 6:00-9:00pm
$550. per person for Preview Night Benefit Party + Visionary Artist Reception, 4:45-6:00.
